In 2014-2015 I was writing a comic that was published on Nord of the North and was called Ofvitar or Brainiacs. As my mental health deteriorated I had to abandon it but I always wanted to expand on the characters and the world they lived in. So while being isolated, unemployed and bored in 2020 I developed a pitch for an animated series. The plan was to make micro episodes that would be published online. I was not able to secure funding and was too poor to afford any of the softwares I needed on my own. Now it’s on hold because I’m too busy with my freelance jobs on top of my day job. Hopefully I will be able to finish at least the first episode as it’s very far along.
Brainiacs the comic
It follows the nerds and BFFs Erna and Arnar who live in Reykjavík.
The storyboard pitch
The storyboards for the entire first episode. Arnar has started using Tinder as his family has started to become way too involved in his love life. Erna thinks you need to let people find you. Sometimes in your own home.
